The Beginning

A Chance Meeting

Crossing paths during a shared business transaction in 2010, Sean O’Neill and Lucas Couper bonded over a love for all things business.

Founding Nash Advisory

With shared entrepreneurial passion, the pair jumped at the opportunity to join forces to combine their experience and expertise. Nash was born.

First Investment, First Breakthrough

Success through the advisory business provided capital for investment and partnerships with potential investors. While knocked back many times from investors and potential partners, the pair were lucky enough to secure a partnership with Total Drain Cleaning. This was a natural evolution to Nash Capital. They owe much of their success to their first group of investors and the founder of Total Drain Cleaning, whose support and collaboration were instrumental in their journey.

Scaling Through Hands-On Growth

With a practical, hands-on approach to business growth, Sean and Lucas dived headfirst into the business, working closely
on the ground and with the founder over a number of years to help develop the asset. Following several acquisitions throughout Australia, Total Drain Group was partially divested in 2020, releasing capital which allowed Nash Capital to quickly ramp up with additional partnerships and investments.

Broadening the Investment Portfolio

With a diligent, laser focus on establishing business viability, the Nash Capital team has reviewed and rejected hundreds of business investment and acquisition opportunities, resulting in further investment partnerships with IVET, Arinex, Evolution Precast Systems, Hatch Brands, and AutoGrab.

Launch of Nash Growth Fund 1

Never losing the entrepreneurial drive that had originally compelled Sean and Lucas to start the business, in 2024, with the backing of a committed group of supporting investors, Nash Capital launched Nash Growth Fund 1.
